Not only will the students be taught how to operate the latest music production software and hardware – they will also be focusing on the creative part of production as well as the “how and why” of using each component, function and aspect as part of the recording and production process.
ABOUT THE COURSE
First ask yourself the following questions:
-
Do I know how to produce music?
-
Does my music sound dull and muffled?
-
Am I out of ideas or have I come to a dead end regarding my creativeness while producing?
-
Do I really know how to use all the functions of my music software programs?
-
Do I know how and why to effectively apply compression, EQ, reverb and other effects?
-
Do I know how to master my own songs to sound crisp and clear?
| Whether you are a novice music producer, sound engineer or a music fanatic creating music for clients or as a hobby – this course will teach you the essential fundamentals of music production that are needed to produce professional music and audio related productions of a high standard. No more dull sounding mixes or limitations in your creations. |

The BMP course will teach you the most important principles of music production and technique from a basic fundamental platform to an intermediate level in just 3 months.
Other than just "Sound Engineering" alone that focus mostly on studio recording (recording of voice overs, bands, artists etc) and live sound, the BMP course also includes the creative side of music production.
With music technology you will be able to select, play, record, edit and export any virtual instrument available on the market. (A virtual instrument might be any live instrument’s individual notes which were sampled and combined into a playable ‘real’ virtual instrument via a simple MIDI controller keyboard, or new virtual instruments only available as software)

Create your own original drum patterns, loops or fills, record some live instruments or voices then arrange them according to your virtual sound stage, add some great sounding effects, compression, EQ, mix and master to a final professional end product. This course is also ideal for people with or without any prior musical skills or experience that want to enter the world of music production through technology, whether you want to create your own backtracks, musicals, jingles, release your own CD etc. |

COURSE OPPORTUNITIES & OUTCOMES
This course will provide you with the skills to produce music for various applications in the music industry: Backing tracks, theatre, musicals, TV & radio advertisement, corporate presentations etc.; you will also be able to edit (cut, copy, paste & manipulate) existing music and sounds for dance artists, gym instructors, etc.; neatly printed scores for voice & instrumental artists, (copyright); do basic recordings; make your own backing tracks for yourself or others and of course, releasing your own music on CD.
| More and more record companies and labels make use of ordinary home production studios (outsourcing) due to the more cost effective and new creative ideas out there. With music technology most of the processes happen in a digital environment with the effect of little or no sound quality loss.
This means that the producer can work from an ordinary home production studio where only the dry recordings of voices or instruments are recorded in an expensive professional recording studio and later incorporated in the mix. |
